About the Role
As a Day Porter at Newfort Specialised Unity in Pretoria West, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep of our public areas and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise with guests on arrival and departure, communicate with Reception, and assist with luggage during these times. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel’s public areas, including toilets, bars, and car parks.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with Reception at all times & help with Luggage during departure and arrival times.
- Routine cleaning of public areas and toilets within the hotel.
- Help the Bar whenever needed.
- Empty bottle bins correctly and have proper knowledge of stocking the bars & storage of new orders & stock rotation.
- Empty bins and collect any glasses / bottles or mess left by guests.
- Check all areas including car park for litter, cigarette butts etc and empty and clean bins.
- Assist in providing the highest standard of service in Room Service/Lobby service.
- Ensure prompt service.
- Assist in delivery of room service and collection of trays from corridors.
- Hoover Restaurant & Lobby after breakfast service.

- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a polite and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
