About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Loading Supervisor to join our team at Number Two Piggeries in Queenstown. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient loading and dispatch processes, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- Supervise loaders and drivers to ensure accurate picking and checking of goods
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using computer systems
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any operational issues or concerns
- Conduct regular checks on loading areas to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- 1–2 years’ experience in loading, dispatch, warehouse or cold store operations, preferably in meat, food or FMCG
- Previous experience in a team leader or senior loader role will be an advantage
- Basic computer literacy (ability to work with picking lists, invoices and simple spreadsheets)
- Experience working in a cold chain / refrigerated environment will be an advantage
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Physically fit and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as operationally required
