Sandton: Senior Programme Manager – ServiceNow – Contract

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Senior Programme Manager (ServiceNow) to join their team in Sandon on a contract basis. This role will mostly work remotely however you will be required to attend office meetings and travel locally and internationally when required. This is a demanding roles, requiring the ability to manage time effectively while working across different time zones with diverse colleagues. Strong planning, adherence to governance, reporting, engagement at all levels, strategic thinking, and the confidence to challenge the status quo are non-negotiable. Our client is looking for individuals who can help mature their Delivery Management Office through suggestions on ways of work etc. The individuals must be able to collaborate across multiple teams, above all bring a sense of humour to the role, as project management can often be a thankless job Requirements Programme Management 7 to 10 years experience ServiceNow experience Delivering global ServiceNow Initiatives. ServiceNow experience is compulsory Programme Planning Programme Scope Reporting Budget Management Programme Stakeholder management Working with IT resources Strong communication skills The incumbent must be able to work independently, within a team environment and at Senior level. Goal 1 – Drive Successful Initiative Execution Through Structured Delivery Management Personal Impact Deliver initiatives within agreed scope, budget, and timelines by applying structured delivery management practices across the full project lifecycle. Achieve: Minimum 90% milestone adherence across assigned initiatives. Timely completion of 30/60/90-day roadmaps and end-to-end delivery plans for all initiatives. Accurate resource and budget forecasting with variance maintained within agreed tolerance levels. Proactive management and resolution of risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests to minimize delivery impact and escalation. Contribution to Others Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Change & Adoption, OIS, EICS, Risk & Compliance, Legal, and project teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and execution readiness throughout each initiative. Establish regular governance and progress reporting mechanisms to improve decision-making and stakeholder engagement. Support teams through clear communication, prioritization, and dependency management to enable efficient execution. Contribute to organizational delivery excellence by documenting lessons learned and sharing best practices across initiatives and teams. Growth Strengthen expertise in delivery management methodologies, governance frameworks, resource planning, and stakeholder management to improve execution effectiveness and organizational impact. Enhance capability in proactive risk management, forecasting, and lifecycle planning. Apply continuous improvement practices by leveraging lessons learned and delivery metrics to optimize future initiative performance. Develop stronger strategic planning and cross-functional leadership skills to manage increasingly complex initiatives successfully Goal 2 Apply Strategic Thinking to Maximize Business Value and Transformation Outcomes Personal Impact Embed strategic thinking into delivery management practices to ensure programs and projects contribute directly to organizational transformation priorities and measurable business outcomes. Ensure initiatives are consistently aligned with evolving business strategy, priorities, and OKRs. Identify and drive opportunities for cross-program synergies, efficiencies, and value creation to reduce siloed delivery and improve overall outcomes. Use delivery metrics, KPIs, and business performance data to support strategic decision-making and continuous prioritization. Proactively identify emerging risks, market trends, and technology changes, adjusting delivery approaches early to minimize impact and maximize value realization. Contribution to Others Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to foster forward-looking, strategic discussions that improve decision-making and organizational alignment. Challenge assumptions and project scope constructively to ensure initiatives remain focused on business value and strategic outcomes. Facilitate collaboration across programs and teams to improve integration, dependency management, and enterprise-wide impact. Promote data-driven decision-making by providing meaningful insights and strategic recommendations rather than status-only reporting. Influence stakeholders through proactive communication, strategic foresight, and solution-oriented thinking.
