About the Role

A luxury Cape Town hospitality venue is seeking an energetic Assistant FOH Manager to join its award-winning restaurant team. The role suits a confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while motivating a dynamic front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and managing front-of-house operations
  • Leading, training, and motivating FOH staff
  • Ensuring exceptional guest experiences and handling guest relations
  • Managing reservations and optimising table allocations
  • Monitoring stock, breakages, and wastage
  • Handling cash-ups, handovers, and operational procedures
  • Maintaining health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Assisting with staff development, rosters, and team performance

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar management role within luxury hospitality. Hospitality Diploma advantageous. WSET Level 2 or wine knowledge beneficial. Strong leadership and communication skills. A highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail. Ability to motivate and manage a large FOH team. Energetic, adaptable, and solutions-driven personality.
