About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at MECS Africa. As a key member of our charter business, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing sales pipelines, and driving revenue growth. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the charter client base.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline across multiple sectors, including Oil & Gas and emerging markets.
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare and present compelling client proposals and tender submissions.
- Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Work closely with Operations, Safety, Engineering, Finance, IT, and other internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and provide regular sales and market reports.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a similar commercial role within the charter or aviation industry.
- Strong understanding of charter operations, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

- Formal education/certifications (if applicable).
