About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front of House / Field Guide to join our owner-run Big 5 bush lodge as part of our close-knit team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while contributing to our conservation efforts. If you live and breathe the bush, enjoy connecting with guests, and take pride in delivering authentic safari experiences, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and host guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable lodge experience
  • Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and daily guest administration
  • Handle guest queries, special requests, and activity scheduling with strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and guiding teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Conduct stock takes, monitor inventory, and support ordering and stock control
  • Assist with invoicing, billing, and general lodge administration
  • Maintain front of house standards and lodge presentation at all times
  • Step in as a relief field guide to assist or lead game drives when required
  • Ensure guest safety and deliver engaging wildlife and environmental experiences

Requirements

  • Front of House experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with stock take and invoicing
  • FGASA Level 1 (minimum)
  • Valid PDP and drivers licence
  • Valid First Aid certificate
  • Well presented
