About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role offers the opportunity to lead all aspects of lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient management, and a motivated, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, and front-of-house staff
- Plan and manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient operations
- Manage reservations, guest bookings, and enquiries professionally
- Develop and oversee menu planning in collaboration with the culinary team
- Handle stock management, procurement, and inventory control
- Maintain bookkeeping and financial records for lodge operations
- Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
- Lead, train, and motivate lodge staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality across the lodge
- Address guest feedback, complaints, and special requests promptly
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
- Report on operational performance and implement improvements where required
Requirements
- Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management, ideally within a luxury safari lodge
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- Strong organisational, administrative, and operational abilities
- Financial acumen and experience in stock and staff management
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
- Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills
- Senior-level experience, with a professional and proactive approach
- Willingness to work on a 3/1 week cycle
