Sous Chef | Johannesburg | MultiConcept Restaurant Group Were seeking a skilled and driven SOUS CHEF to support the Head Chef and Executive Operations Chef in delivering consistency, innovation, and operational excellence across a dynamic group of restaurants. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical ability with leadership skills, reliability, and a passion for culinary excellence at one of the flagship restaurants in Parkhurst or Bryanston, Johannesburg. The group operates three distinct concepts: a Greek restaurant, a premium steakhouse, and an Italian eatery – each reflecting a diverse culinary identity and high standards. Experience & Qualifications Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification 5 – 7+ years experience in finedining or premium casual restaurants Proven track record in managing kitchen sections and supporting overall operations Strong technical knowledge across hot, cold, grill, or pastry sections Demonstrated ability to lead teams in highvolume service environments Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to balance creative input with disciplined operational management Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in directing daily kitchen operations Lead and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring discipline and consistency Support menu development, seasonal changes, and brandaligned culinary identity Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control to the highest standards Monitor food costing, procurement, and supplier relationships Uphold hygiene, safety, and operational standards across the kitchen Collaborate with management to align culinary operations with business goals Salary Package R12,000 R20,000 CTC, no additional benefits.
