About the Role
We are seeking a strong Finance Supervisor / Lead Accountant to support the Financial Manager and take ownership of key finance, internal control, and finance administration functions across multiple operational branches for a well-established and nationally recognized organisation within the automotive aftermarket, industrial supply sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Financial Manager with daily finance operations across branches
- Oversee internal controls, branch audits, CODs, petty cash, and compliance procedures
- Manage financial reporting, reconciliations, cashflow support, and fixed assets
- Ensure financial records remain audit-ready and compliant
- Assist with finance-related projects and operational improvements
- Supervise finance administration staff, including debtors and creditors teams
- Drive accountability, process adherence, and team performance
- Provide financial and operational support to branch operations
Requirements
- Matric (Finance qualification or Advanced Accounting Diploma advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance, accounting, senior bookkeeping, or finance supervisory role
- Experience working up to Trial Balance / General Ledger
- Financial reporting and reconciliations experience
- Strong ERP systems experience – SAP Business One ESSENTIAL
- Advanced MS Office 365 skills, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of internal controls, cashflow, invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and financial procedures
- Valid driver’s licence
