About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a commercially minded Lending Supervisor / Credit Risk professional to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced credit professional with strong knowledge of SME lending, credit risk assessment, and loan portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, assess, approve and process SME lending applications in line with credit policies and risk appetite.
  • Conduct detailed credit risk assessments on small and medium-sized enterprises, including financial analysis, affordability assessments, and business viability evaluations.
  • Evaluate and manage funding facilities such as purchase order financing and invoice discounting.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the loan portfolio post-disbursement.
  • Proactively oversee collections, arrears management, and recovery processes to minimise credit losses.
  • Identify early warning signs of portfolio deterioration and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all lending activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare and present accurate lending, portfolio, collections, and risk reports to management.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, record keeping, and audit readiness.
  • Supervise and support lending operations while driving continuous process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient loan administration and customer service delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within SME lending, business finance, commercial credit, or asset-based lending.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment for SMEs and business lending products.
  • Proven experience with purchase order funding and invoice discounting facilities.
  • Experience managing loan portfolios, collections, arrears, and recoveries.
  • Strong knowledge of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and credit governance.
