About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Finance Officer for a luxury nature reserve based in White River. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting and reconciliation experience who is comfortable working in a structured, high-responsibility environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue administration including donations, GCC revenue, and gate revenue reconciliation
  • Record and maintain donation revenue, issue 18A certificates, and manage donor records
  • Reconcile GCC revenue and ensure compliance with agreements
  • Independently review gate revenue, investigate discrepancies, and complete monthly reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with statutory requirements
  • Process payroll journals and reconcile payroll accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations
  • Support month-end close processes including reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Ensure compliance with authority matrix requirements for all journals and reconciliations

Requirements

National Diploma in Accounting/Finance or related field (minimum)

Professional registration (CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA or SAICA) advantageous

2–3 years’ minimum experience in finance/accounting

4–5 years’ experience preferred in revenue administration, VAT, payroll, and reconciliations

Strong experience with accounting systems such as Sage or similar ERP platforms
