About the Role
The Debtors Clerk will be responsible for managing the full-function debtors ledger, performing debtors reconciliations, and ensuring accurate payments. The successful candidate will also be required to process and issue credit notes, conduct age analysis, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-function debtors ledger management
- Performing debtors reconciliations
- Processing and issuing credit notes
- Conducting detailed age analysis and following up on overdue accounts
- Preparing and processing customer invoices
- Ensuring accurate payments
- Managing account queries and resolving discrepancies
- Monthly reporting on outstanding debtors
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date debtor records
- Assisting with audit requirements where necessary
- Liaising with internal departments and external clients regarding accounts
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Debtors Clerk (essential)
- Experience within the Mining and/or Construction industry (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Pastel Evolution (non-negotiable)
