About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Perishable Controller to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our export customs and shipping documentation, as well as coordinating with service providers to meet airline cut-offs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare export customs and shipping documentation with accuracy.
  • Manage weekly export files and ensure shipments meet airline cut-offs.
  • Handle client requests professionally and provide timely updates.
  • Coordinate perishable, general cargo, and DGR packaging with service providers.
  • Oversee collections and deliveries with warehouse and logistics partners.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.

Requirements

  • Matric certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in perishable and general cargo or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of the airfreight industry.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Excel and Shipshape.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Code 08 drivers license and own transport.
