Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 Cost to Company (CTC) per month, depending on ualifications and experience.

Job Summary: Sagen Advisory Recruitment Company is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Finance Administrator. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between operational logistics and financial record-keeping. This position requires a methodical individual capable of managing the full Proof of Delivery (POD) cycle, creditors, debtors, and general office administration within a high-volume transport environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate brings prior experience in finance or bookkeeping, along with strong administrative and support skills. Is a disciplined, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured environment. You must possess the “logistics mindset”understanding that accuracy in paperwork is as vital as the delivery itself. You are a clear communicator who can remain professional when dealing with diverse stakeholders, from truck drivers to corporate suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- POD & Documentation Control: Accurately verify, record, and scan Proof of Delivery (POD) documents for internal fleets and external couriers. Investigate and resolve missing documentation to ensure billing cycles are not delayed.
- Creditors Management: Process supplier invoices, perform monthly reconciliations, and manage payment schedules to ensure all accounts remain in good standing.
- Debtors & Credit Control: Issue accurate invoices to customers, follow up on outstanding payments, and professionally negotiate payment plans when necessary.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain impeccable records of all financial transactions; reconcile accounts and assist in the preparation of cash flow and balance reports.
- Front-of-House & Liaison: Provide professional reception support and act as a key point of contact for drivers, couriers, and suppliers regarding account and delivery queries.
- Compliance & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoicing or delivery data while ensuring all tasks comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a Finance or Administrative role specifically within the Transport and Logistics industry.
- Proven experience in managing the POD (Proof of Delivery) process.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience with Datatim software is highly advantageous.
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
