About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hardworking Head Chef to join our upmarket bistro and events venue in Table View, Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and training junior chefs, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and lead junior chefs
- Manage kitchen hygiene and maintain high standards
- Run a tight ship to ensure efficient operations
- Manage costing and ordering processes
- Maintain reasonable traveling distance from work with own transport
Requirements
- 2 – 3 years of head chef experience
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
- Excellent food quality and presentation standards
- Own transport with contactable references
Qualifications
- Formal education or certification in culinary arts (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- R32,000.00 – R35,000.00 per annum
