QCTO/FASSET Facilitator & Assessor Accounting Clerk

1. Role Purpose

To facilitate and assess learners enrolled in the Intermediate Occupational Certificate: Accounting Clerk (ID: 125143) learnership, ensuring effective delivery of training, workplace application, and competency assessment in alignment with FASSET/QCTO requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom-based and workplace-linked learning for Accounting Clerk learners
  • Assess learner competence against qualification standards and assessment criteria
  • Manage learner progress from onboarding through to completion of the learnership
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments
  • Maintain accurate learner records, attendance registers, and POE tracking
  • Provide coaching and academic support to learners where required
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, and audit requirements
  • Submit assessment reports and learner progress updates to the Project Lead
  • Liaise with workplace supervisors to ensure workplace integration of learning
  • Manage own scheduling across allocated training sites in Gauteng

3. Qualifications & experience

MANDATORY:

  • Registered FASSET assessor/moderator or relevant facilitator qualification (ETDP SETA or equivalent)
  • NQF Level 5 qualification in Financial Accounting or related field (e.g. Occupational Certificate: Bookkeeper or Higher Certificate in Accounting Sciences)
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in financial accounting

PREFFERABLE:

  • Understanding of occupational learning methodologies and learnership delivery

5. Working Conditions

  • Freelance / contract basis (12-month learnership cycle)
  • Travel required within Gauteng to assigned training sites
  • Approx. 23 site visits per week per group
  • Reports directly to Project Lead: Employment Learnership Division
  • Responsible for managing learners end-to-end
