About the Role

The On the Road Sales Representative is a multi-faceted position designed to drive revenue growth through internal counter sales and external field sales in a fast-paced, small business environment. The role exists to manage the entire sales and operational lifecycle, including direct customer consulting, government tenders, international logistics, inventory management, and after-sales care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize the sales of machines, accessories, and spare parts via internal counter sales and external field channels.
  • Conduct regular customer visits for the explicit purpose of generating new business and concluding sales transactions.
  • Actively handle and process government tenders.
  • Provide specialised spare parts advisory services and drive spare parts sales.
  • Deliver comprehensive after-sales service and maintain ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate closely with the technical service department to address client machinery requirements.
  • Oversee spare parts ordering and manage the logistics process for shipments coming from the Far East.
  • Maintain strict stock control and actively participate in company stock takes.

Requirements

  • Willingness to operate effectively in a small business setting where responsibilities extend beyond standard sales boundaries.
  • Proficiency in compiling and managing spreadsheets for weekly project and sales reporting.
  • Ability to assist with online marketing, website upkeep, and newsletter production.
  • Capability to oversee international ordering processes and supply chain logistics from the Far East.
  • Legal and safe operation of a company-provided vehicle for external client visits and field sales duties.
