An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Restaurant General Manager to open & lead an upcoming luxury lifestyle dining venue in Cape Town. We are seeking a charismatic, commercially driven hospitality professional with a proven track record in high-end restaurants or lifestyle venues. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, & driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, trend-setting environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards at all times Deliver a world-class guest experience aligned with the brand’s luxury lifestyle positioning Drive revenue growth through strong commercial management and strategic planning Recruit, mentor, and develop a highly engaged front-of-house management and service team Maintain rigorous standards across service, presentation, cleanliness, and compliance Manage budgets, labour costs, forecasting, and financial performance Work closely with culinary and marketing teams to deliver innovative guest experiences and events Build strong relationships with VIP guests, influencers, and key stakeholders Candidate Profile This role is not open to expats Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager or senior operational leader within luxury restaurants or lifestyle hospitality brands. Pre-opening experience highly beneficial International hospitality exposure is essential Previous experience in the Middle East is highly advantageous Strong understanding of luxury service culture and guest engagement Proven leadership ability with experience managing large multicultural teams Commercially astute with strong financial and analytical capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Passionate about food, beverage, hospitality trends, and creating memorable experiences Salary Package: R80 000 – R90 000 (Neg)
