Key Requirements
Minimum 6+ years’ experience in design engineering (non-negotiable)
Qualification: B.Tech / B.Sc. Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Strong exposure to heavy industrial or petrochemical environments (advantageous)
Core Responsibilities
Project & Design Delivery
- Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Prepare conceptual, basic, and detailed designs
- Develop specifications, datasheets, cost estimates, and project schedules
- Ensure compliance with SANS, IEC, ISA, and OHS Act standards
Technical Design Scope
- Field instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level, analyzers)
- Control systems architecture (PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS)
- Loop design, alarm management, and system integration
- Use of design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (or similar)
Project Execution & Coordination
- Client interaction and requirement interpretation
- Site investigations and construction support
- Tender process management and technical adjudication
- Quality control on budgets, schedules, and deliverables
Construction & Commissioning
- Site visits to verify installation against design intent
- Handle site queries and cost control
- Assist with E&I commissioning
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD staff
- Ensure technical quality and project delivery standards
- Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
