About the Role
Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Project Co-Ordinator to join their team based in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects within the Automotive sector and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plan and take responsibility for overall project control
- Manage and develop company project master schedules for new projects
- Responsible for cost calculation of new projects, establish feasibility study and make recommendation to MD
- Engage with customers regarding new business opportunities, understanding requirements, assessing feasibility, and providing recommendation to MD
- Acts as primary interface with customers for all Pre-production requests and others
- Sets QCD targets for each stage of the project, evaluates results, ensuring projects meet QCD objectives
- Lead OBEYA meetings and manage cross-functional team to monitor milestones
- Track and evaluate Project progress with all relevant departments, ensuring smooth launch of the project
- Monitor drawing and design changes ECI’s, distribute to the relevant departments, ensuring smooth transition
- Establish link with HQ and other subsidiaries to receive support and obtain best practices and deploy to TGSA
- Support requirements of QMS systems i.e.: ISO 9001, IATF 16949
- Conduct project close-out reporting, make recommendations for the future
- Oversee ad-hoc project and drive the projects from planning till implementation
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant qualification
- Min 5 years’ work experience in managing projects within the Automotive sector
- OEM Min 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing environment
- MS Office, with Intermediate excel skills
