About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Consultant to join our luxury property group based in Franschhoek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing reservations end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery while supporting both operational and financial booking processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to all emails and messages
- Answer telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently
- Accurately process and update all reservations in PMS
- Maintain knowledge of all rates, including rack and contracted STO rates
- Ensure reservation records are organised and up to date
- Manage booking systems including external platforms (e.g., Apply Below)
- Verify daily bookings prior to guest arrival
- Follow up on provisional bookings before expiry
- Maintain guest history files accurately
- Stay informed on room types, facilities, activities, and local area offerings
- Understand and communicate all special offers and property logistics
Requirements
- Previous experience in a reservations or hospitality role preferred
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation systems (PMS experience advantageous)
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications required.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 (Negotiable DOE).
