About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Camp Manager to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality’s stunning Private Game Reserve in Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal. As the face of our hospitality service, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that all aspects of our camp systems, facilities, activities, and staff work together seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily management of facilities & camps to maintain high standards
- Monitor and handle guest feedback, ensuring it reaches each person (positive and negative)
- Ensure vehicle safety and driving speed at all times
- Deal with guests’ complaints in a professional manner
- Assist Camp Leaders with hosting events and activities
- Conduct daily meetings to inform all departments of upcoming events, arrivals, etc.
- Encourage staff to submit proposals for research initiatives
- Undertake continuous education of self and other staff members
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Eco-tourism, Hospitality, Game Lodge, Tourism or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license
- Working understanding of the Food & Beverage department
- Minimum 5 years traceable work experience in a bush lodge environment, managerial role
- Excellent understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures
- Awareness of developments within the food and lodge industries
