About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Finance Manager to join our team at IZI South Africa, where you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of efficient and effective financial support services across the Eastern Cape and Free State region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly forecasts promptly to enable proactive management of potential risks.
  • Control expenditure within approved limits by enforcing strict adherence to budgetary procedures.
  • Oversee all financial controls within the region, ensuring alignment with company and group guidelines.
  • Process decentralised accounting transactions promptly and accurately using the IZI finance system, maintaining comprehensive records supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor the regional revenue position and implement effective credit control measures to optimise cash flow.
  • Supervise and review regional balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage regional costs, purchase orders, business expenses, and overall expenditure, ensuring all spending remains within budget.
  • Ensure precise allocation of costs against budgets.
  • Verify that all expenditure is supported by valid documentation and authorised at appropriate levels.
  • Review regional revenue reconciliations and analyse labour costs and earnings.
  • Evaluate monthly accounts by comparing actual performance against budget, identifying trends and variances, and delivering accurate management information to the Regional Operations Director.

Requirements

  • Matriculation / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is essential
  • A minimum of five years practical, hands-on experience in financial or business operations is required
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Finance or Accounting would be advantageous
