About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Upholsterer & Furniture Technician to join our team at PMP Contractors (Pty) Ltd in Pretoria East. As a key member of our furniture repair and restoration department, you will assist senior technicians in delivering high-quality workmanship and efficient turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stripping, repairing, and reupholstering office chairs and furniture
- Cut, measure, and fit fabric, leather, and foam materials
- Replace worn or damaged components such as foam, webbing, and mechanisms
- Support furniture assembly and disassembly
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Follow job cards and instructions accurately
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards
- Assist with on-site repairs when required
Requirements
Basic knowledge of upholstery or furniture repair (advantageous)
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work with hand tools and machinery
Physically fit and able to handle manual work
Reliable and punctual
