About the Role
A Luxury Safari Lodge in Sandton is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to drive revenue growth within the high-volume wedding sector and large-scale corporate retreat market. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business, building relationships with key stakeholders, and maintaining a strong presence in the Gauteng economic hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and secure new corporate accounts, focusing on large-scale retreats, team-building events, and multi-day conferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-end wedding planners and event coordinators to ensure the property is a top-tier choice for destination weddings.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and initial inquiry to site inspections (at the property) and final contract signing.
- Represent the property at key industry trade shows, networking events, and bridal expos to maintain high brand visibility.
- Conduct daily sales calls and face-to-face meetings with PCOs (Professional Conference Organizers), corporate travel desks, and event agencies in Gauteng.
- Coordinate and host prospective clients at the property to showcase unique event venues and luxury accommodation facilities.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in hospitality sales, specifically focusing on the 4/5-star lodge or conference hotel sector.
- Industry Network: An established and “warm” database of corporate bookers, PCOs, and wedding planners in the Gauteng region.
- Proven Track Record: Evidence of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets in previous hospitality roles.
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, a valid driver’s license and ownership of a reliable vehicle are essential for frequent travel across Gauteng and regular trips to the property.
