Salary: R18;000 Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Sous Chef for a luxury game reserve based in the Eastern Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional looking to grow within a 5-star safari environment and develop their skills under the guidance of an experienced Executive Chef team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on team player who is eager to learn, confident in the kitchen, and committed to maintaining exceptional food standards in a remote luxury setting. ? Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations Ensure consistent food presentation in line with lodge standards Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times Assist with stock control, receiving, and rotation of ingredients Support menu preparation and daily specials where required Ensure dietary requirements and guest preferences are correctly followed Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff Maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service Step up and support leadership responsibilities when required ?? Requirements Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a lodge or 5-star environment Strong basic culinary skills and a willingness to develop further Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment Good communication and teamwork skills Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction ?
