About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our 4-star Berg Resort team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, leading a team of cooks and maintaining high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and ingredients
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 4/5-star hotel environment
  • Large conferencing background
  • Strong culinary and cooking expertise across multiple stations
  • Working knowledge of HR processes
  • Experience in high-volume or fine-dining operations (advantageous)

Salary & Benefits

  • R18,000 per annum (single live-in accommodation included)
