About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified Electrician to join a well-established electrical company based in Stellenbosch, offering exposure to a mix of construction, residential, and light industrial work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical equipment.
- Install DB boards, enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), and grounding systems.
- Wire circuit breakers, transformers, and various electrical components.
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance according to schedules.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Deliver commercial and industrial electrical installations (single-phase and three-phase).
- Ensure power continuity and system reliability.
- Adhere strictly to electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Support and oversee on-site teams where required.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (trade tested) is essential.
- Wireman’s Licence is a requirement.
- Minimum 4 years’ post-trade experience.
- Experience in construction and residential environments is beneficial.
- Experience supervising or managing installation teams advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- No criminal record.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
