About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Winder Electrician to join their mining company based in the Free State. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, safety and performance of winding electrical systems through effective maintenance and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, inspections and fault finding on winding equipment and associated systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned downtime.
- Support maintenance planning, work scheduling and effective execution of maintenance work orders.
- Participate in equipment reliability, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance and provide recommendations to improve maintenance effectiveness and operational reliability.
- Ensure compliance with SHE standards, statutory requirements and engineering procedures.
- Attend to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections and technical documentation.
- Support training, coaching and development of team members and apprentices.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient production support.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Valid Trade Test Certificate (Electrician)
- 5 years’ experience as a Winder Electrician within the mining industry
- Valid Driver’s License
