About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team at Telebest, based in Johannesburg. As a critical member of our power generation operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and assets. With a strong background in power generation and relevant certifications, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures
- Develop and maintain safety procedures and protocols for various aspects of power generation operations
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and regulations
- Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and investigations
Requirements
- Clean criminal record
- Grade 12
- SAMTRACK / National Diploma
- Legal Liability, HIRA, First Aid, Hazchem, RCat Training
- SACPCMP Registration
- At least 3 years power generation experience
Qualifications
- Completed SAMTRACK or equivalent training program
- National Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, technical)
