About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Avoca, Durban. As the Accounts Controller, you will be responsible for managing various financial processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank reconciliations: Daily monitoring, matching, and querying of all bank movements for 12 Centre accounts as well as other bank accounts.
- Petty cash and credit card reconciliations to monthly statements to ensure withdrawals and charges are matched, and raising queries where discrepancies are identified.
- Lease agreements: Reconciliation of monthly statements and ensuring payment is done timeously.
- Creditors reconciliations for allocated suppliers to ensure timeous payments of suppliers and to resolve queries.
- Fleet management: Cost allocation and submission of reports for PAYE deductions.
- Perform and maintain accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations (Debtors, Payroll & VAT).
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with a BCom degree in Accounting or Finance.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years finance experience in an online computerised environment (preferably manufacturing)
- JDE exposure
