Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes across projects and operations
- Oversee financial reporting, including WIP, revenue recognition, and management reports
- Implement and manage job costing systems, tracking project performance and cost variances
- Drive cost control initiatives and partner with project managers to ensure financial discipline
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and IFRS standards
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including contract and credit risk exposure
- Provide strategic financial input on project bids, investments, and expansion opportunities
- Optimise ERP systems and drive automation and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (non-negotiable)
- CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA qualification advantageous
- 5–8 years’ experience in a senior finance role
- Proven experience within construction or project-based environments
- Strong exposure to project accounting, WIP reporting, and cost control
