About the Role

A manufacturing company in Montagu, Western Cape is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing programs for new parts, working closely with engineering drawings to understand required machining and design the necessary machining path.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of programs for new parts
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to understand required machining
• Designing jigs and fixtures to locate parts in CNC machines
• Selecting correct cutting tools for the job
• Writing and loading machining programs
• Measurement and verification of first article
• Daily supervision of machine operators
• Training and re-training of operators on daily tasks
• Operation and maintenance of 9 Fanuc Controlled Victor CNC machines

Requirements

• Experience on Conventional Machines
• Ability to work with parts that are not symmetrical or have ready/flat reference surfaces
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and machining processes

Qualifications

• Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology)
