About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Manager to join our team at this unique boutique hotel in the Gardens, Cape Town. As the key ambassador of our brand, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the property and ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned departments to produce a consistent high-quality guest experience
- Assume full responsibility of Hotel operations and report to General Manager on a monthly basis
- Maintain and ensure the good will of the brand at property level
- Host Site Inspections, communicate with the market, and host journalists as required
- Ensure management personnel are up to company standard and maintain a streamlined management structure
- Conduct effective monthly departmental meetings, take accurate minutes, and complete follow-ups
- Assist in achieving best procurement agreements for the property
- Keep the property innovative in its guest experience and up-to-date with competitor offerings and current trends in hospitality
- Deal with all guest queries and complaints in a professional manner
- Provide effective leadership through personnel management, encouragement of subordinates, and mediation as needed
- Establish and support community partnerships to maintain a strong positive image
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality (advantageous)
- Sound experience in Hospitality Management positions
- Sound knowledge of product and supply
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport essential
- Excellent attention to detail, hygiene principles, and communication skills (written and verbal)
