About the Role

Our Client, a leading food processing industry, is seeking an experienced QC Supervisor to join their team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the QC teams’ schedules and daily activities
  • Monitor staff absenteeism and daily clockings
  • Compile weekly wage and overtime reports
  • Monitor daily clockings of staff
  • Supervise and be present during weekends and public holidays when technologists are not available
  • Quality Control Monitoring & Supervising
  • Ensure that controls are in place according to plant requirements
  • Daily monitoring of quality against the Food Safety Management System
  • Complete and verify daily checklists manually and on online platforms
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Perform preop inspections
  • Organize and conduct Environmental and Product monitoring
  • Customer complaint investigations & trials
  • Conduct customer compliant investigations
  • Assist during technical trials
  • Execute the technical aspects of new product development or improvement trials
  • Oversee final product and sample management
  • Manage correct use of PPE
  • Ensure that duties are performed according to the Group Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines

Requirements

  • Matric Diploma in Food Technology or related fields
  • 3-5 Years experience within the MEAT INDUSTRY is required
  • Accuracy
