About the Role
A leading law firm is seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join its expanding Sports Law Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic advisory services and representation to clients across various sectors of the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial litigation and dispute resolution
- Arbitration and tribunal proceedings
- Contractual disputes
- Labour and employment-related disputes
- Regulatory and governance advisory
- Drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements
- Sports disciplinary and integrity matters
- Strategic advisory work involving clubs, federations, and commercial stakeholders in sport
Requirements
- Admitted attorney in South Africa
- 18 years post-admission experience
- Strong background in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
- Excellent drafting and legal writing skills
- Experience appearing in adversarial proceedings
- Ability to manage matters with relative independence
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent client management and communication abilities
