About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bond Paralegal to join our team on a temporary maternity cover basis in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABSA Bank bonds and excellent administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifying Deeds office information, Title Deed information, verifying instruction details
  • Drafting facility documents and bond documents accurately and in accordance with banks’ requirements
  • Ensuring FICA compliance
  • Submitting compliance packs to the banks
  • Ensuring lodgment and registration at Deeds office
  • Liaising with clients, banks and transferring attorneys
  • Completing progress reports for banks, in line with prescribed processes
  • Co-ordinating appointments for signatures with client and attorney
  • Diarizing files for attendances
  • Providing regular feedback to clients
  • Providing regular progress reports to banks
  • Assisting in general administration tasks wherever needed within the office

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Bond paralegal secretary experience
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience with ABSA Bank bonds
  • Proficiency in Lexis Nexis, Stordoc and E4

Qualifications
