About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Reservations Supervisor & Events Co-ordinator to join our team at Historic Karoo Farm Hotel and Glamping Facility, located in Cape Town. As a Head Office based role, you will be responsible for managing group reservations, events, and guest services. If you have 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a hotel/lodge and are familiar with general hotel booking systems, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Receive & answer calls & emails from guests capture bookings on the system
Perform site inspections for groups including weddings & conferences
Implementation of operating systems, procedures, and guest services
Maximise Room Revenue
Liaise with Management and all other property departments
Effective communication with members of staff as well as guests of the property
Compile function sheets for distribution and ensure relevant details are obtained from the client advising and assisting them if necessary
Participate in meetings with the operations team to discuss the forthcoming events to ensure a smooth handover
Attend to any queries from the client during the event should the operations team require assistance
Liaising with all departments and the client; preparing and submitting quotations; negotiating with suppliers

Requirements

5 years’ experience within a Hotel / Lodge in a similar role
Familiarity with general hotel booking systems
Experience on SEMPER & NIGHTSBRIDGE is essential
Experience with OTA/ STO/ MICE bookings
In depth knowledge of setting up & making changes including room types; payment terms; specials & promotions on NIGHTSBRIDGE; SEMPER & OTAs

Qualifications

Good command of English and Afrikaans, written, verbal and computer
Experience with events planning and activity bookings/co-ordination
