About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the daily operations of our warehouse facility in Springfield, Durban. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and managing staff and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including picking, checking, dispatching, and receiving of goods
- Ensure accurate inventory control and stock management at all times
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and efficiency
- Manage and monitor dispatch processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Oversee vehicle fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance
- Maintain accurate administrative records and reporting related to warehouse activities
- Implement and enforce health and safety standards within the warehouse
- Assist in process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (required)
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience in a high-volume warehouse environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
