Job Description
- Create patterns for new styles and modify existing patterns as required for samples.
- Conduct quality control checks on production items, with a specific focus on pattern issues.
- Create markers for samples.
- Provide input into costings, particularly fabric rating.
- Make markers as per the production schedule for in-work and outwork.
- Take full control of samples from start to finish, including liaising with sales to obtain all required information and monitoring sample hands for quality and performance.
- Create BOMs for sample items and production.
- Create buying lists for all production items.
- Update the cutting schedule with current status.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marker making within a garment manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of pattern making and grading.
- Understanding of fabric consumption and costing principles.
- Experience with CAD marker making software advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and style sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced production environment.

- R9 000 – R10 000
