About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to join a prestigious luxury guest farm located in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary leader who is passionate about seasonal, farm-to-table dining and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a refined luxury setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure smooth daily service
• Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus aligned with luxury standards
• Manage food costing, stock control, and supplier relationships
• Lead, train, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
• Maintain impeccable hygiene, safety, and kitchen compliance standards
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for guests
• Collaborate with management to enhance overall guest satisfaction
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in luxury hospitality
Strong background in fine dining or high-end guest farm/lodge environments
Excellent leadership and kitchen management skills
Strong creativity with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
Solid understanding of food costing and kitchen administration
Ability to perform under pressure in a high-end, fast-paced environment
