About the Role
ProStaffSelect are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our client’s 5* Boutique Hotel in Franschhoek. As a key member of the hotel team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensuring that all areas of the property are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Manage and train housekeeping staff.
- Ensure that all areas of the property are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Order and maintain cleaning supplies.
- Manage the housekeeping budget.
- Handle guest requests and complaints.
- Inspect rooms and other areas to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or Accommodation Services.
- Proven housekeeping experience in a 5* exclusive hotel environment.
- Highly Computer literate with knowledge of FOH and BOH Systems such as Oracle OPERA, Cloudbeds, RoomRaccoon, and Roommaster.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent administration, planning and staff scheduling skills.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Natural passion for training, motivating and leading staff.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to manage a budget, control expenses and inventories.
- Ability to handle guest requests and complaints.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
