About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tasting Room & Restaurant Manager to join our award-winning wine estate in Franschhoek. As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the tasting room and restaurant, including staff supervision and performance monitoring
- Assist two tasting room managers with daily tasks and responsibilities
- Promote and serve signature South African wines, Artisan Coffee Production, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages
- Liaise with kitchen and front office personnel to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring a memorable experience for guests
- Monitor sales, inventory, and costings to optimize business performance
Requirements
- Min 4 years’ experience within a la carte restaurant / fine dining operations
- Good exposure and confidence in promoting & serving signature SA wines
- Excellent culinary knowledge and all-round understanding of advanced food preparation methods and terms
- Highly presentable candidate with strong personality, confidence, and commanding presence
- Highly computer literate with knowledge of Point of Sale Systems, Beverage Controls
