About the Role

The Junior HR Generalist provides administrative and operational HR support across multiple business divisions under the guidance of senior management and/or external labour specialists. The role supports labour relations, performance management, misconduct processes, HR administration, and BBBEE compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support disciplinary and employee relations processes under instruction and supervision aligned with qualifications based on CV and work experience.
  • Preparation of disciplinary documentation (notices, charge sheets, hearing packs).
  • Scheduling and disciplinary hearings and investigations to be conducted with Management.
  • Recording minutes and maintaining case files on one drive.
  • Collecting information regarding the matters that’s been assigned to you.
  • Arranging interviews for positions that management will ask for plan.
  • Carry out background checks for candidates.
  • Compiling investigation files for review.
  • Liaise with external labour consultants or attorneys when matters are escalated.
  • Track and maintain disciplinary cases and outcomes.

Requirements

  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
  • Matric.
  • Diploma/ Degree in HR or relevant qualification.
  • Basic understanding of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA).
