About the Role
AF Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Development Practitioner to join our team in Musina, Limpopo. As an Enterprise Development Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in their growth and development. You will be responsible for providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance on business operations, finance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting entrepreneurs through one-on-one mentorship and coaching
- Assisting businesses with compliance and registrations such as CIPC, SARS, COIDA, and NHBRC
- Guiding small businesses with planning, operations, marketing, and financial management
- Facilitating training sessions and group workshops for entrepreneurs
- Assessing and processing loan applications in line with company procedures
- Analysing financial information including cash flow, affordability, repayment ability, and supporting documentation
- Monitoring business progress and maintaining accurate client records
- Supporting the operation and coordination of the mobile support unit
- Engaging with entrepreneurs within rural and designated communities
- Preparing reports, tracking outcomes, and identifying development opportunities
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve service delivery and client experience
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Development Studies, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in enterprise development, business support, community development, finance, or mentorship
- Experience with loan application assessments and basic credit risk evaluation
- Working knowledge of business compliance processes including CIPC, SARS, COIDA, and NHBRC registrations
- Ability to analyse financial statements, budgets, cash flow, and business plans
- Strong administrative and reporting skills with attention to detail
- Computer literacy essential, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel (including basic formulas and reporting)
- Outlook
- PowerPoint
- Data capturing and record management systems
