About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our luxury private game reserve’s kitchen in the Northern Cape. As a creative culinary professional, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a five-star environment, managing a team, and maintaining impeccable standards.

Key Responsibilities

Run high-end kitchen operations
Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff
Maintain consistency and flair in plated dinners and bush breakfasts
Ensure attention to detail and impeccable standards
Develop and implement menus that showcase fresh, seasonal cuisine

Requirements

Relevant culinary qualification
Previous experience as a Head Chef within a luxury lodge or five-star property
Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Stock control and kitchen administration experience
Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment
Creative passion for fresh, seasonal cuisine

Qualifications

Formal education/certifications (e.g. Baking and Pastry Arts, Hotel Management)
