About the Role We are seeking a mature, reliable and experienced Driver to join our East London team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the safe transportation of goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to traffic regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional service and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities – Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. – Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. – Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules. – Ensure compliance with all local traffic laws and regulations while on the road. – Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery updates and any challenges encountered. – Assist in loading and unloading goods as needed, ensuring safe handling and storage. – Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the vehicle at all times. – Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly to management. Requirements – Valid drivers license with a clean driving record. – Valid PDP – Must be able to tow a heavy load on a 6m Trailer – Demonstrable experience in driving and handling deliveries – Strong knowledge of local roads and routes, including traffic regulations and safety practices. – Excellent time management skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. – Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and clients. – Ability to lift and move items safely and efficiently, as required by the role. – A proactive attitude and high level of professionalism in representing the company. Preferred Qualifications – Experience with GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge. – Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards. – Previous experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics sector.
