About the Role

The Head of Marketing (Exco) role is a critical position in our retail/hardware company, responsible for leading and driving our full marketing team to build and maintain brand perception within our target audience. The successful candidate will be an energetic and intuitive marketing strategist with exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and driving a full marketing team by overseeing and managing all design and implementation of the marketing strategy and branding and position strategy.
  • Identifying opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Preparing, participating, and contributing to annual company strategy, cross departments, and providing relevant market insights per strategic intent.
  • Generating demand with curated marketing tactics.
  • Defining digital strategy to support e-commerce and stand-alone campaigns or in 360 executions.
  • Analysing the running of marketing campaigns and adapting to performance that leverage behavioural interest profiling to drive new client acquisition and sales revenue.
  • Planning events and trade shows.
  • Continuously measuring brand perception and adapting to capture customer of tomorrow and/or renovating brand to meet desired perception.
  • Compiling and updating Company Identification (CI).
  • Designing and implementing continuous favourable employment brands.
  • Designing CSI strategy, aligning budget and values and target initiatives with regards to people development, environmental sustainability, infrastructure, building material and aligning and approving sponsorship requests.
  • Working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across departments to ensure there is buy in and understanding regarding future marketing campaigns trends, competition, and new opportunities.

Requirements

  • A relevant marketing degree (Bachelor’s or higher)
  • A tertiary qualification in marketing and branding or related (preferably)
  • Previous experience in marketing and advertising at a senior management level
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in traditional and digital marketing
  • Highly skilled in visual communications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of building and executing a marketing strategy that positively impacts awareness and business growth
