About the Role
GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join their team in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the accounting practice, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including monthly accounts and reconciliations
- Process debtors and creditors, as well as VAT and EMP submissions
- Maintain strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, trial balances, and SARS eFiling
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Sage, and Xero to perform tasks efficiently
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Bookkeeper or Monthly Accounts Clerk in the Accounting Practice Industry
- Relevant Tertiary Education in Accounting or Finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sage, and Xero
- Strong knowledge of Bank Reconciliations, Debtors & Creditors Processing, VAT Submissions, EMP Submissions, Trial Balance, SARS eFiling, and EasyFile
