About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Butler to join our luxury hospitality team in the Western Cape. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our VIP and luxury hotel guests, ensuring their every need is met with promptness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised service to VIP and luxury hotel guests
- Anticipate guest preferences and ensure all requests are handled promptly and professionally
- Coordinate guest services including dining, housekeeping, concierge, laundry and transportation
- Manage in-room dining requests, minibar checks and lounge service
- Handle restaurant and lounge reservations and maintain accurate guest profiles
- Upsell hotel services and food and beverage offerings
- Assist with stock control, inventories and requisitions
- Resolve guest concerns efficiently to ensure complete satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation and service excellence
- Support daily breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktail service
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
- Butler certification or training from a recognised academy advantageous
- 2–3 years’ experience in a luxury hotel, hospitality or food and beverage environment
- Strong understanding of fine dining and beverage service
- Experience using hotel systems and POS software advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-presented, discreet and highly service oriented
